Jeff Gray, you are one hard mf to track down after 5 years.

Man, I thought you were last hanging out in Arkansas, but it took your redneck self long enough to pop up online!

You cannot know how glad I am to get online and see a shot of you still doing what you were meant to do all along! It took me back to the crowd you drew one night in Wiemar Germany almost 10 years ago.
Damn we were kids back then.

God Bless you. Come down to Atlanta so I can hear what you got now!

Dgold from Fayetteville

September 11, 2004

eckoeckoecko ECKOBASE base bass bass! Your set at the Great Unknown Pre-party at Geroge's Majestic was layin it DOWN. Jake and Carter were coming up with some cool stuff, and the light show was out of this world again. Keep up the good work.

I downloaded the north-eastern segue set, with Future Rock... sounds good but I gotta see it in person. Word is you're planning to do Eckobase > Future Rock at The Great Unknown? That is on my radar big-time...

Brothers Past doing the other late night? No sleep 'til Sunday!

STS9 played in Tulsa last night and all of Eckobase and some hometown friends got to drive over. I can't believe so many kids come out of the woodworks in Oklahoma, and the band laid it down for real. If you need a healing show, I recommend stoping in on the STS9 tour. What a Zone.

ECKOBASE was tiight at George's last Thursday. The digital projection light show was like the third element in my experience, along w/ the music and the crowd energy. People were really getting down, in fact, when is the last time they had that many people dancing on the inside of George's Majestic? OK now the real reason I am writing -- Thanks for the perfect description in your show-dates, where you wrote: "Tuesday, July 20th, 2004 10:00 PM CDT
George's Majestic W/ INFRADIG (livetronica)
Fayetteville, AR
We will be taking part the first of many Livetronica shows set to go down @ George's. Our good friends D Gold and John G will be bringing a series of shows to George's feat. some of the nations best Livetronica bands. " -- That is right ON! It is because of Eckobase that we even have this scene in Fayetteville and we look forward to bringing the best bands in the genre to mid-America right here in Fayetteville. Love, daniel

The show I pulled off of archive.org (3/13/03 @ Cicero's, St Louis)is a really really phenomenal show. You guys have got the voodoo AND the mojo. Thanks so much! I need to pull down the other 3 shows! Record/archive more please! The high desert of the NW sucks for music! I never thought I'd say it, but I wish I lived closer to Arkansas.

As one of fayetteville's trumpeteers, I send out a heavy end of the day "Taps" for Chesters Place. When you take out the the sound system, the music makers, and the people... an end has come for the place we wanted to be most often. Let it rest with the sounding horn.
